AAC BLOCKS
AAC blocks is the new age green product as it not only consumes millions of tons of fly ash but also protects flora and fauna of our planet by halting deforestation caused by manufacturing of clay bricks.
AAC BLOCKS
AAC was invented in the mid-1920s by the Swedish architect and scientist Dr. Johan Axel Eriksson at the Royal Institute of Technology. It went into production in Sweden in 1929 in a factory in Hällabrottet and quickly became very popular.
Today the AAC industry is growing rapidly in Asia due to strong demand in housing and commercial space. China, Central Asia, India, and the Middle-East are the biggest markets in terms of AAC manufacturing and consumption.

HERE IS A COMPARISON BETWEEN Grüntec AAC BLOCKS AND CLAY BRICKS
TYPE / SIZE OF BLOCKS
Grüntec AAC blocks are available in the following four sizes:
625mm x 240mm x 230mm
India has conventionally been using 9 inch thickness for all the external brick walls.
On some projects, there is still a requirement for these 9 inch brick walls. Hence we have come out with a 230mm thick product which will cater to this section of the market.
625mm x 240mm x 200mm
On a number of sites, where strictly S.I. units are followed, a transition has taken place from 230mm to 200mm.
We have our Type B blocks to cater to precisely this segment.
625mm x 240mm x 150mm
However, most of the projects in India have shifted to a 150mm external wall as it gives a higher carpet area to the customers.
Our Type C blocks cater to this majority segment of the market
625mm x 240mm x 100mm
In spite of the various requirements that we see in the thickness of the external walling, the thickness internal walls remain more or less constant at 100mm.
Our Type D blocks cater to these internal walling requirement.
